DEAD FLOWERS SERIES

In May 2022 twenty-one people were murdered in Uvalde, Texas. Nineteen of them were children.

I made this Dead Flowers series to bear witness to the victims: twenty-one flowers to commemorate each life violently stolen. They occupy space as a tangible lament and a prayer for hope, forcing us to remember; to fight back; to refuse to let this happen again.

Half of all proceeds from the sale of these paintings is donated to Everytown for Gun Safety.
