THE EXHIBITION
The Line that Connects Us All is a series of self portraits connected by a continuous unbroken line. The exhibit is a visual representation of our shared humanity, showing our differences as a source of connection and strength rather than division.
The Line That Connects Us All will debut at The Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes
as part of Fall of Freedom: a creative movement to stand up for our communities,
and to celebrate the experiences, cultures, and identities that shape the fabric of our nation.
Next, the exhibition will move to its new location at the Southeast Steuben County Library,
where it will remain through the end of the year.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
YOU CAN BE PART OF THIS COMMUNITY ART EXHIBIT!
Stop by The Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes during the month of October to create a self portrait at our DIY portrait table.
We will add your portrait to the exhibit when the show moves to the Southeast Steuben County Library at the end of October.
THE BRIEF:
Each person will make a self portrait from a line drawing. This can be as detailed or simple as you wish: a fully body or head and shoulders...basically, a visual representation of you. Think about your values, your hobbies, your style...what makes you unique?
We will hang these self portraits so that the lines meet up, resulting in a continuous unbroken line of connection between all of us.
THE RULES:
1. Your drawing must incorporate a line
2. The line must reach two sides of the paper
3. Keep language and imagery PG/ community-friendly!
